Member of the Finance team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of company's payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following but other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform daily payroll department operations.
  • Ensure all payroll transactions are processed and reconciled prior to transmission.
  • Maintain updated Employee Job Allocation report and job cost payroll accordingly into our Viewpoint Software.
  • Calculate and process garnishment notices.  Ensure timely payment and maintain compliance.
  • Process and post 401K contributions accurately & timely. Reconcile GL account monthly.
  • Ensure 401K plan notices to employees are sent timely.
  • Post FSA/HRA payments and reconcile GL accounts monthly
  • Process and post Health Benefits payments and reconcile GL account monthly.
  • Process and post Workers Compensation payments and maintain employees in correct categories.
  • Process and post COBRA payments and reconcile GL account monthly.
  • Manager and maintain accurate accruals for employee/employer benefits.
  • Manage and process licensing renewals and new applications.
  • Any other additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience                

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • CPP preferred but not required.
  • 4-6 years' experience processing multi-state payroll.
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.

Computer Skills                                            

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook software.  Prefer knowledge of Viewpoint.
